Shhh! A Silent Letter Calendar

I've got a couple other posts in the hopper right now in varying stages of draftsmanship, but I wanted to announce the 2025 LEX Calendar in this space. It's available at a discount through the end of October.

For the eigth year in a row, I'm offering a word study calendar at the same price, even though my production costs, like everything else, have increased. Your cost includes a donation, as always. This year, a portion of the proceeds will be given to Arizona’s Public Schools in honor of Poppy.

LEX is offering just ONE calendar design this year: Silent Letters, an enlightening disco-ball of a look at how unpronounced letters contribute to the meaning-making mechanics of English orthography.

Each month targets one or two silent graphemes and features at least one lexical word matrix to illuminate the silent letter patterns under study. It’s a perfect gift for word detectives of all ages, and a perfect companion to the Science of Silence LEXinar I'm teaching this December!
