The Anatomy of Letters: A Pop-Up Class
I am one day deep into a three-day letterpress printing class, and I am inspired.
I love learning. I am almost always the teacher, so the pleasure of being a student again cannot be overstated. The topic hardly matters – banjo, Pilates, composting – as long as the instructor knows more than I do.
I'm going to wait until the full experience is over in a couple of days to write about it more fully; I already have a couple of thoughts about how this study is reshaping what I understand about writing. That kind of post will require a couple days of processing and drafting, but I'm inspired now to offer this class on how letters are built. If you've studied Real Script, there will be some familiar concepts, but this class is for everyone.
